July 30: Happy National Cheesecake Day!
Creamy, homemade cheesecake is a New York staple. In honor of National Cheesecake Day (today!), we've rounded up some great Delivery.com merchants that are delivering full cheesecakes and individual slices of the classic NYC dessert. Get it plain, with toppings, or even fried! - there are plenty of options on Delivery.com to satisfy any cheesecake craving.
July 29: Happy National Lasagna Day!
Ooey, gooey, cheesy, meaty (or veggie) lasagna is one of those classic Italian dishes that always hits the spot. And, what do you know, July 29th just happens to be National Lasagna Day! We thought we'd kick off the celebration of baked layers of flat, wide pasta, Italian cheeses, and hearty tomato sauce (plus all the great fixin's that can be included) with a selection of Delivery.com merchants that will deliver warm, freshly baked lasagna right to your door.
Merchant of the Week: S’MAC
We've been fans of S'MAC, the East Village restaurant that specializes in mac and cheese since they first started dishing out their delicious, cheesy creations, but now we have one more reason to love them. S'MAC now offers a vegan mac and cheese menu (yep, you heard us right) and it's available on Delivery.com!
Less Sprinkles, More Crickets
This week, we're taking a break from our regular "What We're Ordering" feature to bring you something a little more adventurous. Genevieve Kim, one of the Delivery.com summer interns, made a trip to Brooklyn today to check out Wicked Spoon. The recently-opened frozen yogurt shop prides itself on inventive toppings, like chocolate-covered crickets, which Genevieve tried! Wicked Spoon doesn't offer delivery, but maybe if enough of you request to see their menu (insects and all) on Delivery.com, they'll change their minds.
New Merchants: International Eats & Old Favorites
One of the great things about Delivery.com is the wide variety of merchants. A glance at the restaurants on our site is like a culinary world tour and this week's new merchants are no different!
Keep Cool with These Delivery.com Dishes
There are foods besides ice cream and ice-cold beverages to keep you cool this summer. If you want to eat a real meal and keep your temperature down during a heat wave, order one of these cool foods from Delivery.com!
Merchant of the Week: Xie Xie
Angelo Sosa and a sandwich from Xie Xie
Calling all Top Chef fans! This season while you're watching chefs duke it out in the kitchen, you can actually get a taste of their food delivered right to your door. How? You can order from contestant Angelo Sosa's restaurant Xie Xie on Delivery.com!
What We’re Ordering: Havana Central
When it came time to order lunch yesterday, we decided to be a little more adventurous than usual. Forget pizza or sandwiches - we wanted Cuban! So we researched, read menus and discussed, and finally we decided the only way to do Cuban food was to order it from Havana Central. Havana Central has three locations throughout Manhattan (all available on Delivery.com) in Times Square, the Upper West Side and Union Square. So, if our lunch looks good to you (and believe us, it was) head to Delivery.com and order up some of these dishes from Havana Central.
New Merchants: NYC and Much More
This week's edition of our new merchants, it is all about how we are expanding beyond our New York roots. We start off across the Hudson with grill in Jersey City, that can take care of your stomach and muscles. Then we hit the home of the White House for some Thai bistro, and cruise down to South Beach for some Argentine and Italian fare. We complete our weekly trip by making stops in the Lone Star State and Los Angeles.
