It was big news in the restaurant world this week when the 2011 NYC Michelin Guide rankings were released. Who got three stars? Who lost a star? But there’s more to the guide than just fine dining restaurants.
In addition to those fancy-pants eateries, Michelin also has a Bib Gourmand category, which often features more casual, less expensive places that are still really, really good. To be selected for a spot on the Bib Gourmand list the restaurant must serve two course and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less. The 100 restaurants on the Bib Gourmand list are some of the best places in New York to get a high-quality meal at an affordable price.
While we were looking over the list (and our mouths were watering), we couldn’t help but notice a few spots that are on Delivery.com. We’ve listed them below so you can get a taste of what the Michelin Guide is praising as some of the best east in New York.
