Restaurant of the Week: Waffle & Wolf

Waffles for breakfast? Yes. Waffles for lunch and dinner? Absolutely, thanks to Waffle & Wolf, our restaurant of the week! The Williamsburg restaurant serves all waffles all the time, but we’re not talking about your average syrup-topped breakfast foods. Instead, Waffle & Wolf specializes in what they call “folding waffles” – waffles folded in half and stuffed with all sorts of savory and sweet ingredient combinations. It’s kind of like a taco, a sandwich, or a crepe, but on a waffle. Sound delicious? That’s because it is!

When choosing your Waffle & Wolf creation, the first decision is the waffle, of course. The Brooklyn spot has two options – regular and buckwheat, which is also gluten-free and vegan. Yep, these waffles are for everyone.

Then, it’s filling time. Waffle & Wolf has everything from the basic – can’t go wrong with peanut butter and banana – to the unexpected. Here are just a few of the waffle creations that caught our eye:

For the bacon lover: Bacon (baked into the waffle), with cheddar cheese, tomato, avocado, arugula and yogurt sauce.

For the sweet tooth: Toasted coconut and chocolate fudge

For the adventurous eater: Spicy roasted pumpkin with pomegranate, arugula, yogurt, mint, cucumber and garlic.

For the true Wolf experience: Wolf sauce (tahini and molasses) with strawberry, apricot jam and almonds.

Their full menu has even more options, along with some drinks like coffee, tea, and something called Wolf Milk (First person to try it, let us know how it tastes!) Check it all out and order some waffles today from Waffle & Wolf on
