Delivery During Hurricane Sandy – Update

We hope everyone has made it through Hurricane Sandy safely and is doing ok! The storm had a huge impact on the Northeast, including the local restaurants and stores in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut that you order from on Delivery.com. We’re working with those business now to see how they weathered the storm, and to bring them back online if they are ready to start accepting orders again.

While many restaurants and stores are still closed, some are reopening and are ready to start deliveries again. We’re continuing to update Delivery.com, so please check in to see if any places near you are open. If you do order, remember to follow these guidelines:

  • Give the merchant a call. Don’t hesitate to call the restaurant or store you are ordering from to make sure that they are open and ready to deliver to you.
  • Remember that delivery may take a little bit longer than usual. You may have to wait longer than normal for your order to arrive.
  • Don’t forget to tip your delivery person! They are working hard and have missed a lot of business over the past few days, so make sure to tip well.

If you have any other questions about your order or the status of any merchants on Delivery.com, just let us know!
